Schrodinger's Chat is for occasional long-chat emergencies. It is not a separate app download: it unlocks paid features inside the same Chrome Web Store extension as the free Chat Health Meter. It does not require the local Continuity Engine, and it does not build a permanent project archive.
AI Browser Reset
Run a platform-aware reset for ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini to refresh browser-side page state that can contribute to interface drag.
Summary Handoff
Serve a summary instruction into the current chat, press Send, then drag the generated summary into the prompt of a fresh chat manually.

1Check health. See whether the chat is showing visible signs of slowdown or instability.
2Reset browser state. Try the platform-aware AI Browser Reset for the active supported AI workspace.
3Generate handoff. Place a summary instruction in the current chat. The user presses Send.
4Move forward. Download, copy, or drag the summary into the prompt of a new chat and continue there.
What it does not do
Schrodinger's Chat does not create a full local transcript archive, transcript search, Highlights Library, deterministic capsule, project/multi-session continuity, or Engine-backed update packages.
Its Summary Handoff relies on the current AI chat to generate the summary. If the chat's context or logic has already degraded, that summary can carry some of the degradation with it.
When to upgrade to Continuity Engine
